Cutting To The Truth

I just got a "heads up" from Venus.  The long-awaited documentary about Jay Sebring will be released September 22, 2020.  Here's a preview! Thanks Venus!!

  1. I've been watching The Beverly Hillbillies reruns, and of course, Sharon Tate is on there. I wonder how Jay felt about her doing that show.

I personally think Martin Ransohoff should have put her on TV shows instead of those stupid movies. She would have become popular much faster.

  2. I think it took me about 3 years of YouTube videos just to figure out which one Sharon Tate was on "The Beverly Hillbillies". I've seen every episode of the show probably 10 times. They covered up Sharon Tate's blonde hair with a brunette wig. I guess that's the look the wanted for a secretary, but it made her nearly unrecognizable (at least to me).

I suspect she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I suspect Manson sent his followers to kill the people at the main house (Terry Melcher's old house) to send a message to Melcher. I doubt if Manson even knew who was living there at the time, I'm nearly certain Watson didn't. They probably weren't even aware who those people were. They lived at Spahn Ranch, spent their time doing drugs, scrounging through dumpsters for food, and other bizarre things, I doubt they watched much TV. The murderers probably had no idea who was in that house that night. It seems to me some of the victims went to a restaurant earlier, they could have stayed later at the restaurant, or went somewhere else after, and not even been there that night.

Apparently, Watson was told to kill the people in the "main house" (and I suspect only the main house) simply because that's what they did. They didn't kill Garretson, I don't think they even looked very hard for anyone else. (They didn't kill the dogs either). Later, on the way back to Spahn, when they were washing of the blood and had a conflict with the home owner, they didn't kill that guy and his wife either.

It's my understanding Watson is still in prison to this day. After all he's probably been through over the decades, I doubt if he even remembers that night, although he might remember it perfectly. Considering he was probably on drugs, plus he's a liar, and memories fade over time, it's unlikely he will ever tell much more than he already had.

  3. Hey Katie are these hurricanes going to affect your part of Texas? What is closest big city too you? I hope Ridge stays with Shauna a while I hate Brooke.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hey Beauders! The only thing we're getting from these hurricanes is heat and humidity. We're not even getting a drop of rain. We're about 180 miles southwest of Houston. I think it mostly hit Louisiana and just the eastern edge of Texas and it's heading northeast. But I shouldn't complain. At least we won't have power outages or storm damage.

I hate Brooke too. Ridge will probably use Shauna to get back at Brooke, at least for a while. This soap has got to be written by women. All the men on that show are stupid. LOL.

  5. Glad to hear your ok Katie. We are still having protests every night. It's been like a hundred plus days, many of the protests declared riots. Portland is unique at one point protesters closed down I-5 the major interstate for the west coast, during rush hour because Barbara Bush was in town. I don't think she even spent the night, just a quick drop in. After that politicians started calling Portland, Little Beirut.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I've been watching that on the news Beauders. It looks like they've burned the whole town down. Isn't anyone in charge anymore? I guess just stay home and stay safe until all this blows over.

    ReplyDelete
  7. We are on our 100 day of protesting and riots. We also had a murder during the protest over last weekend, a conservative pro Trump counter protester was shot downtown, so the police tracked the murderer down and shot and killed him too. I was hoping the agitators would move on to Wisconsin after the shooting there, I guess we will see. The mayor and the govenor are doing what they can but now the protesters are rioting outside the mayors condominium, demanding he resign.

  8. There is an irony with what's going on in Portland, Portland is a very white city. Salt Lake City has more black citizens and the Mormon's didn't allow blacks in their faith until the 1970's. Gladys Knight is the only black Mormon that I know of. Oregon and the rest of the Northwest was founded to be a white mans/women paradise. During WWII blacks came here to work on the ships. Most went home after the war because the people here were racist. The blacks who stayed were allowed to live in an area called VanPort. At some point VanPort flooded and the people were left to be homeless. Most of those people left but those that remained migrated to North and Northeast Portland. Now the black population have been moved out of their area's as their neighborhoods have been gentrified and white yuppies from California live there because no Oregonian white or black can afford to live there. Then of course there is what happened to the Natives of this area---they were killed or put on reservations. Not a pretty picture.

    ReplyDelete
  9. When Oregon was founded as a state no blacks were allowed within it's borders. So we have a very bad racial history. Of course I'm more worried about wild fires, as I am an animal lover and what is coming this fall and winter with Covid-19. They are projecting 410,000 deaths by New Years.

  10. Beauders I heard on the news that the mayor of Portland is going to move since the protestors are outside his condo. Why doesn't he just stop all of that nonsense instead of moving? That's gotta be hurting business owners in that area. Not to mention people getting killed.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I don't think he can stop the protests, the police are overwhelmed. I think he is moving for his neighbors and the businesses in the area. That part of Portland is high rent and very yuppie.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Beauders, he's the mayor of the city. He can stop the protests. He can call in the state police. Stop and think about it. He doesn't want to stop it. You might want to elect another mayor next time. This guy isn't thinking about safety and security for Portland citizens. Which makes me sad.

You and your brother should move to Texas!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Katie, I read an article last week that at least one sheriff in Oregon was going to refuse to send some of his deputies to assist in Portland as he did not want them to face increased chances of harm by protestors. This kind of explains how out of control this has become. The Portland Mayor, and Oregon Governor, have let this monster grow too big, and is no longer controllable. To give in and ask for federal assistance would be disastrous politically for them. As such, Oregonians pay the price of political foolishness...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Dill I can't believe this is happening in this country. I've never seen anything like it. Plus I think the police's hands are kind of tied because they might get accused of violence if anybody gets hurt and they could end up in jail.

One thing I'm sure of is that if these people can get away with this violence and destruction they will keep doing it because there isn't a deterrent. It's turned into a vicious circle.

    ReplyDelete
  15. More than a vicious circle, it has turned into more of a political circle jerk. We are seeing the radical domestic terrorists turning on the same politicians that have allowed them to have free reign. You cannot appease terrorists and expect them to simply stop what they are doing. I believe the most of America is going to turn to conservatives as the grownups in the room, and ask that they clean his mess up. And that, is what Democrats fear most. However, they cannot stop themselves from making the problem worse.

    ReplyDelete
  16. It's hard Katie because I believe in our right to protest, and I bet you do too. I believe that most of the trouble makers are outside agitators. Both our mayor and governor agree with the protesters. The mayor actually went to protests when the Feds were in town. I hate the violence, looting, and destruction and I have been to many protests and nothing like this has happened at least here. Of more concern, at least to me, Oregon is on fire. The citizens of the county I live in have been told be to ready to evacuate. I don't think the fires will affect us, but I hate summer because of the fires. I hate what happens to the animals. I have lived through a house fire and only lost stuff, which is traumatic enough, but no one died or was injured. What you seen on the news coming out of California is also happening in Oregon and Washington State. An entire town in Washington State has been lost. We had a windstorm last night which have amplified the wildfires. The sky is orange and my car is covered in ash. My sister would love it,if all of us moved to Texas but I think I have too big of a mouth and would get myself in trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Where I am in California, we are battling the Creek fire which is now over 150,000 acres with zero containment. I have a brother and a nephew that have both lost their homes to fire, and there is only the terrain that can slow down the fire. It looks like total containment will not happen until mid-October. The skies are grey with smoke, air quality is unhealthy. The Golden State is now the Grey State.

Hope you remaIn safe, Beauders. I will be passing through Bend at the end of the month on my way to Montana, was looking forward to a change of scenery....

    ReplyDelete
  18. Dill and Beauders, that's gotta be scary!! My prayers for both of you that you and your property will stay safe!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. 500 square miles in Oregon are on fire but we are big state with almost 960,000 square miles. The town of Manden in Washington State is 80% gone. The Govenor has interrupted The Bold & The Beautiful to say there will be significant loss of life. To get to my house the fire would have to jump a large river so I think we are safe.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Got that wrong Oregon has 96,000 square miles. I think what I wrote above is bigger than the whole country. Oops.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yeah Beauders, I was wondering why Oregon was suddenly bigger than Texas. LOL.

I've heard that spraying water on your house helps. Don't know if that's true. What a mess!! Y'all stay safe and hopefully they'll get those fires put out soon!

    Beauders, check this out:

  22. According to "the internet", Texas is 268,581 square miles. The 2nd largest state in the U.S. Alaska has us beat with 663,267 square miles.

Texas is a big state. It takes a whole day driving from one point in Texas to another point, still in Texas. Most people can drive 4 or 5 hours and be in another state. Or even be 2 states over. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Earlier this year, it took me over 9 hours just driving from El Paso to Waco. I was amazed how long that drive took, and I still had several hours to go, just to cut over to Oklahoma. Biggest damn state I ever saw...

    ReplyDelete
  24. All hell is probably going to happen in Portland this weekend. The protesters took a ten day break because of the wildfires (we lost 2000 homes to the fires) but things are now back to what is now 'normal.' We have three groups holding rallies in Portland. The Proud Boys are in town (from Florida), a white supremist radical right group that are holding a rally. Antifa is also holding a rally, and then there is a Black Lives Matter rally as well. All this happening today. The State Police are taking over from the Portland Police who need the help. I am a native Oregonian, even though I spent eight years in Half Moon Bay, California, and resent these people coming to my hometown and causing all this violence and destruction. If Florida likes groups like the Proud Boys, fine stay there we don't want you here. These guys from Florida are bringing weapons. The Black Lives Matter folks have been throwing Molotav Cocktails at the police probably instigated by people not from Oregon, again stay at home if you want to do things like this, we want peaceful protesters not thugs. Ruin your own cities Portland has paid enough.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Beauders, I hope you're okay! I hope hugs are enough!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well crickets. I wonder if Portland is still standing. Maybe the "people in charge" will get rid of looters and rioters. You'd think that the "people in charge" would protect the Oregonians. If they aren't, the Oregonians need to vote other folks in.

    Beauders I hope you're okay.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm fine Katie. Portland is still standing and some fires are still burning. Just been busy.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thanks Beauders! One less person I have to worry about! :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well Portland took ten days off protesting because of the wild fires, but they are back. Sunday in honor of native populations, white protesters, many not from Portland pulled down a statue of Abraham Lincoln, and I believe Thomas Jefferson. They also broke the windows out of the Oregon Historical Society and ransacked the building. I have no problems with peaceful protesting, but I do not like violence and and destruction. Katie I remember you have some native blood in you, how do you feel about this destruction for native people?

    ReplyDelete
  30. PS I think all the terrible things that were/are done to Native people should be taught in schools and the horrible things they go through in the US today, should be fixed. A great book I read that goes into the way the Natives were really treated as the "west was won," is by Caroline Fraser and is titled "Prairie Fires: The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder." Most people my age watched and read the tv program/books by/about Laura Ingalls Wilder and that was not reality. This book tells the truth. Another book I'm reading is by Laurie Garrett, I Heard The Sirens Scream: How Americans Responded To 9/11 And The Anthrax Attacks." Laurie Garrett is professional science writer and it was through her books that I learned about virus's, bacterial infections, and all the nasty bugs out there. She lived very close to Ground Zero and the book is about her experiences being in New York City during that tragedy. The book is part her memoirs of that time and then the science of the event. I would recommend both books whole heartedly. Another book I'm reading, but that is taking a long time is by a woman named Charity Lee, I'm sure you heard of her Katie, since she is a Texan. The book is about her psychopathic teenage son murdering her four year old daughter. This is a great book, the writer is a bit on the crazy side, but who wouldn't be in her possession. It is titled "How Now Butterfly: A Memoir of Murder, Survival, And Transformation." I am reading it slowly because it is so damn sad. Other books to read in the age of Covid is Stephen King, "The Stand," which about a hell of a plague and Anne Rice's "The Witching Hour," which is modern literature, once you get by the sex parts in the beginning.

  31. There's a story on Yahoo right now that Poland is going to honor the couple that hid Roman Polanski during the Holocaust. I think I read that he hid under the stair of his house when the Nazi's came looking for Jews when he was 6 years old.

"Israel will on Thursday honour the Polish couple who hid Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski from the Nazis as a child, the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem said.

The late Stefania and Jan Buchala will receive the Yad Vashem title of "Righteous Among the Nations" for those who helped save Jews during World War II.

"Despite their very difficult economic situation, the couple agreed to take in the Jewish boy as their own son, and keep him safe," Yad Vashem said.

Their grandson will accept the medal at the ceremony in southern Poland that has been kept under wraps for security reasons and which local media say Polanski himself could attend.

The controversial film director was just six years old when Nazi Germany invaded Poland in 1939, triggering the war and forcing the family into the Krakow Ghetto.

After his father smuggled him out through the barbed wire and got friends to take him in, Polanski was shuffled around, then sent to the Buchalas.

Devout Catholic peasants with three small children, they gave him shelter for nearly two years in the village of Wysoka, asking for nothing in return.

The filmmaker lives in France, as he is persona non grata in Hollywood and cannot return to the United States for fear of arrest.

Polanski pleaded guilty to unlawful sex with a minor in California in 1977, in a plea deal after he was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl. He fled the US before sentencing.

The director of Yad Vashem's Righteous Among the Nations department, Joel Zisenwine, said "the award is given to the rescuers, not the survivor".

"It is about what they did in real time, risking their lives to save a nine-year-old child," he told AFP.

"Nobody of course has any way of knowing what happens to people as adults. It has nothing to do with that."

Polanski has certainly had a busy life. I think his mother died in Auschwitz. If you want to see what I consider the best documentary about what was probably the worst prison in human history, it's posted on YouTube--Kitty Return to Auschwitz

  32. Beauders, I don't believe in destruction of property for ANY race. That's not protesting. That's rioting. And the perps should be punished. Why would they tear down a statue of Lincoln? What did he do? I don't get these people.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The people who own these businesses that are being destroyed are losing their life long dreams. Even if they have insurance, they have to pay a deductible. And their insurance may cancel their policy if they're in a high crime area.

Who is cleaning up all of this mess? This isn't fair!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Katie, I think they are angry with Lincoln, etc. because he believed in westward expansion. I was wrong about the other statue it was of Teddy Roosevelt on a horse. They also tore down an statue of an elk, and I don't know what the elk did. Thomas Jefferson and George Washington were tore down during the summer. Downtown Portland is a war zone and the rioters just being in Portland are destroying all the businesses there. It is very sad we have had rioting for over 130 days. The meaning of the protests are lost in all of this. Portland is a beautiful city as is the state of Oregon and I an afraid that tourists are going to be scared to come here. I spent most of my life in a small business, making salt water taffy. The candy business is totally dependent on tourism. Luckily, because of covid most Oregonians did not work for three months thus people did not travel far this summer. They went to the Oregon coast, which is where most of the candy is sold. Oregon is also beautiful. An hour west from Portland you are at an ocean, one hour east your at Mount Hood. Mount Hood has a glacier on it so your can ski and snowboard year round. There are rivers here clean enough people can swim in them and you can eat the fish caught if fishing is your thing. Two hours east of Portland is desert. Please come and visit, there is so much to do here. Also Portland has a great bookstore called Powell's. It is a four story city block of used and new books. It is a wonderful business who is hurting really bad. Also remember Mount Saint Helen's the volcano that blew her top off in 1980. Well she's 45 minutes from Portland. The winters are mild but we have a lot of rain. The summers get hot but we have no humidity. I won't continue other than to say please don't be afraid to come here.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Beauders I think they're just tearing up stuff because they're violent and they like tearing stuff up. And unfortunately in certain states, nobody is doing anything about it, so they just keep doing it.

And you're right, this violence has also caused a lot of economic harm because of tourism. A lot of states and individuals within those states depend on tourism to make a living. Not only have people lost their jobs because of the shut-down, many have also lost income because nobody is interested in going to certain places that they feel aren't safe.

I'm sure Oregon is beautiful. I've been to California and I know how pretty it is there, but I've never been north of there. I have a nephew in Seattle and I know he loves it there.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sunset I think that anyone who helped the Jews in the Holocaust should be recognized. Although I don't think much of Polanski.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yes anyone who helped the Jews during the Holocaust is a true hero. They risked their lives and those of their families. It would have been horrible to be killed by those monsters but what they would do to you before they killed you would be horrible. Remember Catherine Share's birth parents committed suicide instead of being taken by the Nazi's. Her parent's were members of the French Resistance fighting the Nazi's. I wonder what they would think of their daughter's life? I also wonder how the suicides of her birth parents and adoptive mother affected her?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Here’s my problem with Catherine Share. Sure, she starred in a soft core porn movie. Sure, she was complicit in an on-going criminal organization known as the Manson Family. Sure, she participated in trying to attempted murder, and witness tampering. So she was involved in an armed robbery and spent five years in prison. I mean who amongst us hasn’t been involved in such things. Mail fraud? Who hasn’t?

That she has been born again is fine with me, I am happy for her. But she works very hard trying to distance herself from her past, blaming it on others, never taking responsibility for her own acts. She was a self-serving poor excuse of a person then, she hasn’t really changed much now.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Night of the Living Dead by George Romero is on TV tonight. That Ransonhoff guy should have cast Sharon Tate in that movie. She would have made a good zombie. Or she could've played that blond woman. A lot better than that crap he put her in. Fearless Vampire Killers???? That show SUCKED!!! LOL.

    He was a bad manager.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes, Sharon could have played Barbara. There is another "Night of the Living Dead," made in either the 1980's or 1990's where Barbara is Rambo like and the hero of the movie. Personally I like the original a lot more but some friends of mine much prefer Rambo Barbara.

    ReplyDelete
  41. PS Katie what do you think of Thomas's creepy doll?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Oh Beauders, I was going to mention that creepy doll, or mannequin I guess. It reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where that mannequin looked like Elaine and she finally stole it from the store and Kramer made out with it in the car. HA HA HA.

I guess the Bell family is trying to take a new turn in this "soap box opera". We've had so much boring this and that with Steffy and "Finn" proclaiming their love for each other, while both sitting on the couch "six feet apart", and meanwhile Liam again acting like a buffoon trying to keep them apart.

I don't know where they are going with this stuff, but Thomas keeps hearing "voices" and Liam maybe should start acting like a "Man" and protect Hope for once, and stop being a wimp!

I haven't seen the remake of Night of the Living Dead, but I usually detest "remakes". I like originals. And yes, Sharon Tate could have played many parts, and her manager stupidly held her back, waiting on the perfect part.

Sharon was a talented actress. Most people don't know that because she didn't get a lot of exposure. Her little stints on the Beverly Hillbillies were pretty good. I'm no actress, but I think she did a good job. There were 100's of good movies made in the 60's. Sharon Tate could have been in most of them, and done a good job.

    ReplyDelete
  43. And Dill I agree with you about Share!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well Oregon reelected our governor and Portland reelected the mayor. National Guard has been activated because of rioting.

    ReplyDelete
  45. It's not surprising to me about the governor but it did surprised me the Mayor got reelected. I guess the people of Portland agree with him about the protests, which he agreed with, and don't blame him for the riots.

    ReplyDelete
  46. PS Katie if nutcase would really kill Liam on B&B that would really liven things up. Of course it won’t happen but I would love to see it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I thought Thomas was going to hit Liam on the head Friday and tie him up and keep him prisoner or something, but Liam walked out of the apartment. Yeah I wish something like that would happen on B&B this week to make it interesting. Remember when Quinn held Liam captive? LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yes, I like Quinn but I always like the villians.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I liked Quinn too! I hope she gets back with Eric.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I can't remember Katie was Quinn having sex with Liam? If so he could have had her charged with rape as he was not in right mind to consent. Have you noticed how bad the skin looks on the mannequins face? Is the real Hope's skin like that?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yes Quinn was having sex with Liam. That whole thing was so weird. Quinn also tried to kill Deacon. She pushed him off a cliff. LOL.

That mannequin's face looks so creepy. It looks like the real Hope covered in wax. Have you noticed how the mannequin's eyes turn red when it talks about killing Liam?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yes the eyes are high tech. Oregon is shutting down again, Covid has arrived, we have over a 1,000 or more cases reporting every day. Nothing like Texas though.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Sorry to hear that Beauders. I don't think Texas is shut down. Although I did see on the news that El Paso shut down for a while. We do still have to wear a mask when we go in a store or restaurant which sucks.

    Take care!

    ReplyDelete
  54. They are saying shut down will last for two weeks in all counties except for Multnomah which includes Portland which will last for four weeks. I think this is going to lead to the whole state being closed for the rest of fall and all of winter.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Beauders, that's terrible. The result will be losses of jobs, income and dreams of people who opened a company only to have it closed forever.

This is ridiculous. We already shut down once and with the job losses and it didn't work. We've been wearing masks. Which proves that doesn't work either. The only option is herd immunity, which has been banned by MSN, who seem to own the country right now.

I'm glad I live in a Republican state.

    ReplyDelete
  56. In order for herd immunity to work, though Katie, four million people will have to die. We are all in a pickle I think what's going to change things is a vaccine, which won't get to most people till June. I can get it early because of the loss of my kidney. Be careful Katie it's bad in Texas. The food pantry lines in Texas break my heart.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks Beauders. I'll be fine. I always am! I was sneezing a lot yesterday, but I'm sure it's allergies or maybe just a cold. We still get those! I'm better today. No fever, just a little tired.

I think the vaccine will be here before the year ends, and I hope you get first in line.

    Hugs!!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Katie, Thomas’s doll ark is getting creepier. I looked up the book Hope was reading but it doesn’t exist. I typically have no interest in Laurel Canyon other than how it relates to Manson and the Family and the Wondeland Murders. If you don’t know anything about the Wonderland murders look it up it very interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  59. PS Douglas is still the best actor on B&B.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I know Douglas is a cutie-pie!!! What book was Hope reading? I didn't even notice. Wasn't the Wonderland Murders the one that had that porno star involved?

Speaking of Hope, I couldn't believe it this week when the doll turned into the "real Hope" and she started moving around like some kind of robot. That was hilarious!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. She was reading a book titled “Laurel’s Canyon.” You must have thought I was off on a tangent writing about Laurel Canyon.” Yes, the Wonderland murders involved a porno guy who died from HIV.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hmmmm, I wonder why she was reading that book? Interesting!

I've been to California and it's a beautiful place. It's hard to imagine bad things happening there because it's so pretty. Although I went to Santa Barbara a few times and also San Francisco a few times and I didn't really like it there. Too cloudy and depressing and a little chilly!

Hey Beauders, I was watching a show on HLN today and it was about a little boy named Kyron Horman in Portland who disappeared about 10 years ago after being dropped off at his little Skyline Elementary School by his step-mother. Have you heard of that case? A very strange sad case, with a darling little ole boy!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Everyone in Portland knows about Kyron Horman. He is our most famous missing child. My take he was taken by a stranger. The stepmother is blamed but there is no way she could get away with it, She was investigated intensely for years. A neighbor child, Anna Waters, disappeared one day in 1973. She was in kindergarten and I was in third grade. No one in my family knew of it at the time. My sister and I road the bus together with Anna and her brothers. I didn’t know anything about her disappearance until I saw her mother’s book advertised on Zodiac Killer webpage. I think I know what happened to her. A friend of mine told me in fifth grade “ her brother practiced on her.” I didn’t know what she saying for a few years. Her twin brother was my best friend and I have never forgot what she told. I think this brother, a neighbor of Anna’s tried to molest Anna but something went went wrong and he killed her. This happened in Half Moon Bay, California. I’ve tried to get people to listen to me but I am getting nowhere. If she sounds interesting check the case out. There are some videos about Anna on YouTube and an investigation on Websleuths.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Her whole name is Anna Christian Waters. Her mother is still searching for Anna.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Well the governor of California reversed Van Houten’s parole.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Thanks Beauders! Sorry I've been working. I'll look up that Anna Waters.

I'm surprised they kept Leslie in prison. That Gov Newsome seems to be a Narcissus. He likes his own reflection!

    ReplyDelete
  67. BTW, Liam is such a weakling! He thinks he saw Hope kissing Thomas and he goes to Steffy's and kisses her?

Aren't the writers working now? How many times do we have to endure the "Steffy/Hope/Liam triangle????

  68. I just looked up the case of Anna Christian Waters. She apparently had a number of family problems and it is very unlikely that case will ever be solved.

"She had arrived home from her kindergarten class at Alvin Hatch Elementary School at 1:00 p.m., changed her clothes and went outside to play. Her mother and stepfather were both inside the house.

A creek ran through the Waters family's property and was in the flooding stage in January 1973. However, an extensive search of the creek turned up no sign of Anna. Purissima Creek Road is not a major thoroughfare and few cars travel on it.

Anna's younger half-brother later remembered that, about a month before Anna went missing, a man and a woman tried to lure her into their vehicle on the road near her home, in the presence of both of Anna's half-brothers. He described the car as a 1960s model Chevrolet Impala with Washington license plates.

There is speculation that Anna's biological father, George Henry Waters, was involved in her disappearance. George, a doctor, began behaving erratically after Anna's birth and was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia. His family refused to have him committed to a mental hospital, however, as this would have caused him to lose his license to practice medicine."

That information and a little more is at this link--http://charleyproject.org/case/anna-christian-waters

  69. I think George Waters and George Brody theory is most likely false. Neither one had the ability to take this child and then either kill her or give her away. Firstly, neither one owned a car and Half Moon Bay is about 40 miles from San Francisco. Secondly both men were mentally ill. When George Waters learned of his daughters disappearance all he cared about was if he would still have to pay child support. George Brody and George Waters were extensively look at by Anna's stepfather. He went as far as to bug their apartment and when Brody died of natural causes and Waters committed suicide, the stepfather got everything out of their apartment including boxes of paperwork and he found nothing interesting in them. Sunset, I grew up one canyon away on Higgins Canyon Road. A mile away if you went up our properties hill onto Higgins Creek Road then down another side of the hill that turned into Purrissma Creek Road. Sunset you say Purissima Canyon was not a main thorough fare, you would have to see how rural this area really is to believe it. If five cars went up or down our road a day, that was a busy day. There are some clips on Youtube about Anna Christian Waters that show some pictures from the area. I spent three years at Alvin Hatch Elementary School and most of the students were children of farmers and immigrant Portuguese, leaving a country going through a revolution. There were at least a hundred girls a day hitchhiking to Santa Cruz in front of the school. That is no exaggeration. whoever said no one hitchhiked in California after the Tate/LaBianca murders had never been to Half Moon Bay. There were plenty of girls and women to take if someone wanted to abduct them. They did not have to go to the canyons to abduct someone. They would have also been noticed because the area was so rural and everyone was cautious of strangers being on their property. Three years after Anna disappeared my best friends twin sister told me her older brother "practiced on her." I didn't know what she meant until a few years later. By the time these twins were in 7th grade, Margaret the girl who told me this was living in Tijuana, Mexico with her father and stepmother. I knew the family well enough to go with these twins to Tijuana in 4th grade to visit their dad, who was studying in San Diego to be a psychiatrist I am assuming the family found out what was going on, and sent her to her dad's for safety, to get her away from her brother. When the twins finished 8th grade the family moved to Enterprise, Oregon. This was a multiple generational Half Moon Bay family. Enterprise would make Half Moon Bay look like a major metropolitan city in comparison. I think the older brother was the one who took Anna and his family figured it out so they left Half Moon Bay to avoid attention and questioning. This though is my theory no one else's. Anna's mother wrote a book titled "Searching for Anna," that is available through Amazon. It is an well written and interesting book. The mothers name is Michaele Benedict. The mother is in her late 70's or early 80's and I am concerned she is going to die not knowing what happened to her daughter.

  70. To further complicate things there are two sets of twins in this family. The child molester is part of a set of older twins. He has a twin sister. The younger twins were my friends another boy and girl set. My best friend was the boy in the younger set. I was a tough country girl and the boys liked me for that, that is until they got interested in other girls for other reasons. I don't recall Anna's family being particularly troubled. Her older brothers had a different father and her father left the family due to his schizophrenia. Besides the schizophrenia her family was like hundreds of families up and down the California coast, hippies. My family was not a hippie family, we were actually quite extravagant breeding and showing Appaloosa horses. My father owned a used car lot in San Mateo (over the hill as the kids called it). My dad started dealing with bad people and not being honest with his car deals and was raided by the Feds. Everything was lost and my sister, brother, mother, and I moved back to Portland because our lives were being threatened, but that is a whole other story. Lets just say from 1969-1978 we were new money. There are also two George's being Anna's father George Waters and George Brody, a conman who befriended the other George and became his mentor and broke up their family. Anna had a stepfather who loved her enough to investigate the George's. The guy I suspect has ties to Anna's family, his family bought a pig from Anna's family and Anna's brothers and stepfather helped this family put up a barn. Anna went to the property several times while her brother's and stepfather worked on the barn. After Anna disappeared the molester took piano lessons from Anna's mother that is until she had to cut him loose because he was writing inappropriate music to her. As a young adult he married the sister of a sister that married one of Anna's brothers. They had a baby he named 'Anna.' His wife divorced him because he was being 'weird' with the baby. He is in Anna mother's facebook friends and she in his. Today, he lives in Tyler, Texas, (is that near you Katie? If so maybe you give him a few karate chops for the children he hurt and the one he possibly murdered). He is a defense attorney whose biggest case involved him defending a ring of pedophiles. Yes, I have done some investigating myself. I feel I owe it to Anna and her mother to do what I can. If interested there is a lot of information on Websleuth's. I came in late to WebSleuth's but I go by beauders there as well. I don't have any specifics on what the molester did to his little sister, but he did something bad because she told me to my face, "My older brother practices on me." I have older brothers and they did not practice on me or my younger sister so I did not realize what she meant. I did not know about Anna until 2012 when I saw her mothers book on a Zodiac webpage. I saw Half Moon Bay and assumed the child who disappeared, did so in town in the 1980's. I was very surprised when I saw she disappeared a mile away from me when I was in third grade. I asked everyone in my family if they remembered anything about a kindergardener who disappeared from Purissima Creek Road in 1973 and no one remembers anything. Today, it would be covered on all the local news as well as the crime channels. I envision Nancy Grace walking through the muddy and rainy environment, questioning all of us neighbors. If only. To further complicate things, the property that Anna disappeared from is owned by famous folk singer Tracy Chapman and Chapman will not allow anyone to investigate on her property. I'm thinking that maybe a podcast could get information out. I'm going to call John Walsh's people and see if they have any interest in what I have to say. I've spoke to a detective in San Mateo Sheriff Department because they investigated the case initially. I've also spoke to most of the missing children groups.

  71. PS Katie I am so bored with the Liam, Steffy, Hope triangle I am really thinking the only way to end it is for one of them to die. I nominate Liam, he is so boring and flip floppy. I hope Thomas kills him.

  72. Liam did more than only kiss Stephie. I love how Liam sees Thomas making out with the manaquin (which I think is creepier than seeing him make out with Hope). Liam assumes it flesh and blood Hope and so he over reacts and gets drunk with Stephie and sleeps with her.Of course she’ll get pregnant and Thomas will probably figure it all out and hold it over Liam’s head until another sweeps, when Hope who will probably be pregnant as well, will find out in some very dramatic way. Maybe I should have wrote soap operas.

  73. That was a lot of information Beauders. I'm thinking if it was her brother, they would have found a body. The info I looked at said the creek was a flood stage, that's a possibility. Bodies are often lost in rivers, (and sometimes found, at least 3 have been pulled out out of the Potomac near me over the years). I'm thinking it was one of these "strangers" that was apparently following her around. The info I looked at mentioned 2 instances of apparent strangers following her. Kidnapping a kindergarten girl for various reasons is not unknown. Anyway, it's a sad case, and I hope she is found.

It kind of reminds me of kidnapping near me from "back in the day" but they caught the guy. My neighbor went to school with her, I talk to him every day, (he's due here in a few minutes. Linda Mae Peugeot and her infant were kidnapped out of the parking lot of a "Kings" deparment store. I can remember shopping at that store when I was a kid, it's long gone now. They were kidnapped by Stanley Hoss, (that name was a dirty word around here for a very long time). He committed suicide in prison. The bodies of Linda and her daughter have never been found. Here's some info about that case-- Linda Mae Peugeot

Also, I think Brian Davis is doing the TLB Radio show on a live stream on YouTube again. I caught a few minutes of it the other night if anyone is interested. I'll try to post a link to a replay from a few days ago-- TLB Radio I think he has another show upcoming, maybe December 6.

  74. Sunset, where Anna disappeared was very rural with tons of places to bury a body. A mile away is the now Purisima Creek Redwood Preserve but in 1973 it was a Redwood Forest where people partied and rode motorcycles. She would be very hard to find if he or whoever buried her in there. I would think that a lot bodies ended up there for that reason.

  75. The brother didn't remember for a very time after Anna disappeared about the stranger's who tried to get Anna in the car. I'm not really sure his memory was correct. Strangers were not welcome in the canyons behind Half Moon Bay. Everyone who lived there noticed strangers as they stood out. Someone would have noticed Anna getting abducted if she was grabbed and shoved into a car. Plus she would have yelled or screamed initially and no one reported any strangers or noises that day.

  76. Sunset I don’t mean to be argumentative but I’ve done a lot of research and I know the area. Having grown up there I know some the people as well. I mean I hope I am wrong I would love it if Anna is alive and well and doesn’t realize she abducted when she was five. Her family moved to Half Moon Bay after taking a driving trip through the South and I initially thought someone had seen her and followed them back to the west coast and grabbed her at a convenient time and that is why nothing had shown up because she taken immediately out of the state but then I remembered what Margaret had told me.

Beauders! Calm down a bit. LOL.

Liam makes me sick too. I'm sick of his stupid name! I'm sick of his haircut! I'm sick of his clothing. I'm sick of his Weasley eyes.

Today's episode was sickeningly weak. Thomas yelling at the mannequin and Hope crying and telling Thomas to "hold on".

Where are the writers???? Hanging out at a bar in Santa Monica?

Bring Bill back and have him kill folks!!! LOL.

We're doing okay here in Texas. I hope everyone is okay in Portland and other places.

Thanks Sunset for the BD info.

  78. If Stephie and Hope end up pregnant, this will be chapter 54 verse 60. I'm tired of the Liam, Stephie & Hope show. I know Bell is having a hard time now, but they're just about to get this soap opera cancelled because I've been in the chat room and people are really sick of this crap and they're going to boycott it.

Bell needs to think of another story line. And it doesn't involve Brook telling Ridge she loves him, or Zoey telling Carter the same. We need some more concrete stuff or this show is gonna be cancelled.

  80. "A friend of the Waters family reported he saw two men, one of them much younger than the other, in a white panel truck on the road just minutes before Anna vanished, but the men have never been identified and it is unclear whether they were involved in her disappearance."

It's hard to say what happened in that case and it's highly unlikely it will ever be solved.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yes Katie since you like hairy real men I don’t think Liam would be appealing to you.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Sunset I’ve heard that quote once before but only once and no one identifies this friend, I would like to speak to this person. This was way out in the country and panel trucks were useful out in that environment. I also would like to know if either George knew how to drive.

  83. beauders: from an old blog post

"Doug French was 13 when Anna Waters disappeared. He knew Anna's half-brother Nonda from school, and spent more than a few evenings having dinner with the family. Less than two years ago French - now living in Sacramento, and who long ago lost touch with the family of Anna Waters - was watching the popular television program "Unsolved Mysteries" when he saw a case about a girl he thought might be Anna. He quickly telephoned Michaele to tell her what he had seen.

Last Christmas Nonda told the family a story he was sure he had told before. Only no one else remembered it. It was the memory of a strange couple driving alongside Anna and trying in vain to tempt her into the vehicle. It was quite a memory.

"My belief is that the two events were related," French says now. "I look at all of the strange things that occurred to Anna Waters in her short life and I think either she was a very unlucky girl or some of these things are related."

There is George Waters, Anna's father, who worked as a physician in San Francisco around the time of Anna's birth. Born in the Philippines to medical missionary parents, Waters would spend time in a Japanese concentration camp until it was liberated by U.S. Marines as World War II came to a close. He eventually graduated from Princeton and, at the age of 22, accepted a teaching post at the American Farm School in Thessaloniki, Greece. There he met Michaele Benedict, then married with two young children. Waters and Benedict would later marry in New York in 1964. Three years later Anna Christian Waters became his one and only daughter.

Sometime in 1967, while treating a woman who was dying of cancer, Waters met George Brody, a man he would find increasingly fascinating. Benedict, in her written account of her daughter's disappearance documents Waters' unstable mental state.

She writes "January, 1969: George is making the rounds of the somewhat reduced circle of our friends, telling them I'm in love with his self-styled psychic friend and begging them to make me write letters of apology to same."

Brody was a murky figure whose true identity is still something of a mystery, French says. As Waters and Brody grew closer, Waters' behavior became increasingly erratic.

Not long after, Waters was diagnosed with paranoid Schizophrenia.

He eventually left and went to live with Brody. Years later, in January of 1982, just two weeks after Brody succumbed to cancer, Waters drank cyanide and died in a Tenderloin hotel, according to a San Francisco coroner's report.

It did not take long for some involved in the case to suspect Brody and Waters of having something to do with Anna's disappearance. Today French believes that one of the two men were likely involved."

There's a lot going on in that case. It's still listed by the San Mateo Sheriff's office as a stranger abduction.

  85. Beauders have you heard about the Skelton boys?

  86. Maybe but I'm not sure, what is the story?

  87. It's another show I saw on HLN. They were 3 little guys, ages about 5, 7 & 9, who went to spend Thanksgiving with their Dad and just disappeared off the face of the earth. The Dad is in prison I think but he was never charged with their disappearance. I think this was in 2011 in Michigan.

I recently saw the movie about Chris Watts who killed his wife and daughters for no reason at all. That was really disturbing.
