A Gift from the Wayback Machine

Last night, I consulted the internet "Wayback Machine" looking for some information on a long dead website that I used to visit many years ago.  I couldn't find what I was looking for, but while I was there, I checked-out a few other deceased websites just for the hell of it.  One of the first sites that came to mind was that of Bill Nelson.
Yes Bill Nelson, the self-proclaimed "Manson Family Expert".  His website
"MansonMurders.com" in the late 90's and early 2000's, was a showcase for self-absorbed paranoia and out of control obsession... and every now and then, a tidbit of new information.
I imagine a lot of people on this blog remember his website... but for TLB newbies this might be something they've never seen before.

I typed in the the name, and to my surprise, I was actually able to raise a few of his pages from the dead.  I clicked many of the links.  95% of them worked, so I thought it might be an interesting thing to post here.

  1. I never gave this guy any credence.

He's one of those creepy-looking guys, that you instinctively hide your children from, when he walks in the room.

    He has that diddler "look".

Some guys just have that "look"... and Nelson is one of them.

If you think I'm kidding... take a glance at the sex offender mugshots, posted at your local post office.
My post office has a large bulletin board, with all the (local) sex offenders stapled to it.
Every one of those guys, has a certain "look" about them.

    Always go with your gut.
If your instinct tells you to keep your kids away from someone... don't be polite and politically correct... just do it!
    (Like Nike!) LOL

  2. Wow...

We went from religion to Bill Nelson.

If anyone thought for a minute, that this wasn't a "free-flow" discussion board, this is proof-poitive.
    LMAO!

    What's next?
    The history of unicorns??

  7. The Wayback and the Internet Archive is one of the BEST sites on the entire web.

I always found it ironic that the one thing Nellie was obsessed about (Manson Family) was what put him down.

  9. bobby said.. It looks like there is something between him and Leslie that I need to read up as well.

She was pissed that he was selling videotapes of her parole hearings for personal profit and said so at one of the hearings which made nelson happy because he was a narcissist and loved being in the spotlight.

If You look at the link in My post You'll see that He came up with some information but His holier than thou vindictive personality made Enemies out of just about anyone He came in contact with.
And the ways He got his information left a lot to be desired ie stalking ex family members, stealing (then selling) photos and just in general being a dick which bit him on the ass in the end which brian davis spoke of earlier.

  11. Him and "A former tenant of Cielio" did some of their "stalking" together. Then after the former tenant got what she wanted she dropped Nellie like a hot cake.

  12. Love how he puts down White Rabit being a child molestor when Bill himself was no better. Hmm.

  16. Actually Lynyrd, going from a discussion of religion to one of a pedophile, as all of us know and some all to well, is a rather short leap at that.

Now if we leapt to the best penalty killing strategy in hockey that would be a free flow. Whadda ya say Matt.

But I personally root for any topic that brings Frank and Matt and Mr P and Bobby and Doc et all to the board.
Wait a second, I forgot the women.
We gotta send out a posse for Mr. Dilligaf. His counsel is missed. And you're dead on as usual Katie, the Saint is missed. He always knew how to keep the party hoppin. Damn the Col and his grouchiness for turning out the lights on that one. Damn shame.
Oh well, what were we talking about...
yes, I remember, who is going to win for short documentary tonight.
Wait, that's another board I am on. Adios.

  17. And I reiterate my lifelong disdain for Mr. Rooney, Lynyrd. The guy's voice made my teeth ache and his opinions ignited the chainsaws in my head.

  18. I suppose you're right Leary.
The topics of religion and pedophilia are (unfortunately) not as disparate, as we'd like to believe.

    Sorry about the Rooney association.
I actually loved Andy Rooney (and his weekly spot)... until he got real old.
In his prime, Rooney was great fun... but like a prize-fighter who doesn't know when to quit, he stayed-on way too long.
I'll concede, he was simply annoying, by the end.

You have a certain "anectdotal" quality to your posts, which reminds me of him, is all.
    I don't mean any disrespect.
In my mind, it's a compliment, because I really liked Rooney.

  21. I thought it worth mentioning that in the Bible it is homosexuality that carries the most severe penalties of all sins: death. When one speaks of the hypocrasys of religion is one speaking of religion or is one speaking of people?

  22. There is a similar problem going on in the teaching profession as it is in the priesthood of the Catholic church. It is believed that between 8% and 9% of teachers are pedophiles.

    ------------------------------
I was raised in the Catholic Church.
St. Jarlath in Oakland, CA. My experience was definitely positive in all ways. I never saw a nun hit anybody and I was never molested by a priest. No priest ever even tried to touch me. Sometimes I wonder what was wrong with me.......

  25. No worries boss, I am over and under it. Funny we have similar tastes in allot of things but Rooney just was never my cup of tea. Which just makes it ironic that at least in some peoples eyes I seem to channel him.

And I am not anti-Catholic guys. And yes, the pedo problem extends to teachers and coaches and Boy Scout leaders etc etc. But you can't ignore facts and figures. And it does remain an overwhelming issue within the church.

  26. I found a whole bunch of comments in the blog's "spam folder" yesterday.

I never check that foolish thing.
There were comments all the way back to November in there.

My sincere apologies to anyone effected.

In the future... if anyone posts a comment, and it disappears (or doesn't post)... please let me know.

According to "google", posts which include URL addresses (links) are often flagged as spam.
    That hasn't been my experience.
NONE of the comments in the spam folder included links.
Furthermore... folks post links on my blog all the time, and their comments go through fine.
From what I've experienced, the "spam detection system" seems completely random.
Maybe some people's "accounts" include links?
    I have no idea.

If anyone knows how to shut the spam detector off... please let me know.

Again, my sincere apologies to anyone who has "lost" a comment (or has had trouble posting) over the last few months.

    Peace... LS
