  1. Many Thanks to Leary, Cease2, Venus and Sunset77 for officially joining our research team.

I apologize for the long wait.
I spoke to some of you, quite some time ago.
Unfortunately, it took me a bit longer to communicate with everyone, than I expected... and then my computer died... etc, etc, etc.

I will be sending each of you a brief "tutorial" in the coming days, on how to create and save drafts.
    Stay tuned...

    Sunset:
I will be sending you a "google invitation".
You have to "join" the blog for this to be complete.
When you receive the "invitation"... just follow the basic directions.
It's basically two "right clicks" of the mouse.
(Believe me... if Venus can figure it out...) LOL!
    Just kidding Venus! : )

    Welcome Aboard Everyone!

  22. Here is some advice: Leave the gun, take the cannoli....

    ReplyDelete
  23. I, for one, welcome our new overlords and if you need me to, you know, rat on anyone here just let me know

    ReplyDelete
  24. "leave the gun, take the canoli".
words to live by for sure. and one of my all-time favorite movie lines.
I thought Mr Dill should be Professor Emeritus but Consigliere is perfect.
It is a real joy in my life to hang out here and share ideas and thoughts with some really cool and provocative folk (Trilby, come back please). And thanks especially to Lynyrd for all his hard work and just being such an old time stand-up guy.
Let's howl at the moon, curse the wrong turns of Charlie, remember and respect those who paid the ultimate price, and just keep our minds spinning with new thoughts and ideas about an event and time that still resonates with us all.

  27. hi guys i just found on youtube an interview by born again christian bob larson with james mason, michael moynihan and boyd rice. this interview includes doris tate and these people are extremely rude and cruel to her. as usual she shows grace and class. these guys were all friends with schreck until their little power group imploded. just go to youtune and type in james manson, michael moynihan and boyd rice vs. bob larson. i heard this live and it's just as outrageous today as it was in the early 90's.

    ReplyDelete
  28. oops i am so used to typing manson that i typed wrong it's james mason not james manson.

  29. Thanx for the add Lynyrd and thanx to everyone for the welcome comments.

This will be a bit of a work in progress for me, plus I don't have any "new" material right now.

Finally, the Phil Kaufman interview is up on CieloDrive. It can be heard on YouTube HERE

  31. Katie, I've been thinking about doing a thread about Jay and you've convinced me to go ahead and go for it, will work some more on it later.

I have other ideas too tho, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh! Thanks to everyone else for their kind welcome!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Archie is staring at me. LOL.

Hi guys! Venus I can't wait to see what you come up with. We still have to get in Jay's house and have a peek. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Beauders I watched part of that interview you were talking about.

I don't know why Doris wasted her time on those kinds of people.

She mentions in the interview that Sharon didn't know Manson. I believe her. I don't know why some people think she did know Manson.

  35. Hey Marliese, did you catch Circumstance's interview last night?

  42. Katie said>>>Hey Marliese, did you catch Circumstance's interview last night?<<<<<

Hi Katie, No, i didn't. I wanted to, but the time just didn't work out. It's on at 5:00 here, and more often than not, we're off doing something then.

And bobby, what's this my name being mentioned? I'm not feeling good about any hint of an idea that St C would have been embarrassed over the fact that he's always been fair to me...unlike some other people on the blogs.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Brian joked that Marliese and Saint seemed to have a "cyber crush" on each other.

Brian asked Saint if there were any truth to that notion.
After a long pause... Saint said his wife was kicking him in the leg... LOL

    The conversation changed topics.

It was all in good fun.

Let's not start a big hulla-baloo over nothing folks.
    It's been a long week.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Saint did a good job.

He started by discussing the Schreck and Maury Terry books... specifically, how both authors explore alternative influences, such as the "Process Church" and "Scientology" (in their respective books).

Saint talked about his "Laurel Canyon" theories.

He did some victims' advocacy stumping.

He related a few of his humorous "Uncle Cheech" stories. LOL
    (That was my favorite part)

It was all pretty laidback and loose... like a fireside chat.

    ReplyDelete
  45. C'mon Bob...
No need to become a lurker.
    You're "family" brother!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm not starting anything.

I didn't hear the broadcast, and hearing that my name was mentioned, am asking because I would personally be mortified if St. C was embarrassed about the fact that he's always been respectful, whether we've agreed or disagreed.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi Marliese. Sorry you missed the interview. You can catch the podcast if you want.

I don't think it's possible to embarrass St. Circumstance. LOL. It was just a harmless light-hearted moment. No one has anything to be embarrassed about. Just good clean fun.

  48. Bobby you made a comment on "another blog" about why would the Family worry about Shorty taking over Spahn's Ranch when they were moving to DV.

    You were right.

The reason Shorty was killed was because Charlie thought Shorty knew too much about the TLB murders. These people were shooting their mouths off all over the place about "killing pigs", and Shorty was picking up on it. That's why he was killed.

Charlie was already thinking about going to the desert back in July of 1969. After he shot Crowe, he was afraid of the Black Panthers. He thought he killed Crowe and was paranoid about the aftermath.

This was the reason that Gary was killed. Charlie thought he had inherited $5000 and he wanted it to move to the desert. He didn't get it because Gary didn't have any money.

And I love how people keep saying Tex was in charge. Tex had NOTHING to do with Gary's murder.

  49. Congrats to the new staff writers. Re: Johnny Echols and Bobby B....someone had asked for Bobby's contact info. This is the last e-mail address I have: bobby@beausoleil.net. Not sure he will address it.

This is probably old news but somebody had posted this on another forum for something different, but found the Manson pictures fascinating as I revisited it:

    http://photos.lapl.org/carlweb/jsp/photosearch_pageADV.jsp

Lastly, congrats to St. C on his broadcast. Did not get a chance to catch it...hopefully I will be able to access it.
