I found another movie you may be interested. It's a movie called "Grand Theft Parsons".
It's loosely based on the true story of when Phil Kaufman stole Gram Parson body and burned it at Joshua Tree. Phil Kaufman was locked up with Manson I think... and said he had sex with all of Manson's murderesses.
The movie stars Johnny Knoxville of Jackass fame, he wears Kaufman's original motorcycle jacket and rides his Harley trike. Kaufman makes a cameo appearance at the very end.
It's a crazy story if you haven't read it.
Thanks Sunset77!

The Kaufman theft of Parson's body is an undermentioned aspect in the periphery of characters around the Manson saga. It is another of the truly bizarre goings on in California in the 60s.
In Kaufman's autobio he tells of a freaky night where the Family hid in the dark chanting Kaufman's name trying to scare him. I prefer to think of it as an early creepy crawl.
Had Kaufman never partied at Harold True's house on Waverly would the Labianca's been left anonymous in historyStill, it seems inevitale that somebody around Kaufman would end up murdered after Charlie's bid a show biz failed to happen. Kaufman was an early inroad to talent scouts for Charlie.
Liz ran a thread on this Parsons/Kaufman topic fairly recently, for anyone interested in more backstory.

I openly admit, this topic is not exactly my strong suit.
Poirot and Sunset, seem to have information on this topic, as well.
Graham Parsons was an extremely talented and unique figure in the music world. His 'Grievous Angel' is still my favorite country album of all time. And the guy was fascinating. Self-destructive and damaged, but a real character.
In short, he was everything Charlie Manson was not.
"In short, he was everything Charlie Manson was not".
AHahahaha!
Leary... you're 2-for-2 tonight! LOL
Manson, Kaufman and Linda Kasabian partied at the Harold True house prior to the Labianca's living next door.
Somebody who should have known who was behinf TLb before anybody else was Harold True. That dude had some serious druggie friends.
I never heard if Manson knew that Harold True no longer lived on Waverly on the night of the Labianca murders. Yet Kasabian must have thought True still lived there because she was shocked that Manson chose that house.
Mr. P...not really...
LK and CM and company all partied at True's house, tis true...but independently of each other...
That's the official version of course, that you can't get to unless you're paying real close attention...
It's possible there is an unofficial version which would be much more sinister of course...
But True himself was interviewed fairly recently and he just thinks Charlie and all were crazy.
Thanx for the upload.
Other movies can be found on YouTube that are at least semi related to Manson include, "Satan's Sadist's" 1969, it was filmed around Spahn Ranch in 8 days about 2 months before the murders. Almost nothing recognizable from the Manson family can be seen in the film though. The producer said they had to kick "Tex" Watson from the set for bothering female cast members.
"Rosemary's Baby" is posted on YouTube, Roman Polanksi was the director. A debate still exists as to whether Sharon Tate appears in the film.
"The Wild Angles" is posted on YouTube, it's a biker flick with little connection to Manson except Nancy Sinatra is a co-star, she may have been at the Cielo drive house at one time.
One film I haven't found easily online is "The Fabulous Bastard From Chicago". Donald Shea reportedy appears in it. I think I know where I can grab it with a torrent, but I haven't done so yet.

Poirot replies:
Yes I agree with you. I was more talking about the rough crowd that True had over at his house. To have Kasabian over and then Manson over in his home independently of each other is incredible. That's like inviting over Ted Bundy and Jack the Ripper.
Some very mean people hung at True's house. How sane could True Be either?
Starship, that interview of Harold True you mentioned was very telling about True. He tried to present himself as a sane college graduate yet he invites over to his house some of the most notorious people of the 20th century for his drug parties. It was this habit of mixing with infamy that cost his neighbors, the Labiancas. their lives.
Harold True was very defensive in the interview you mentioned so obviously he has felt some responsibilty and blame being directed at him which cast dispersions on him as to just how normal or sane was he.
Mr. P., so you think the fact that True use to live next door to the LaBiancas is directly related to their murders?
According to Sanders, True moved out of that house in September 1968 and Leno & Rosemary didn't move into their house until November 1968.
Hi Sunset. Thanks for the link. I've been watching the movie and it's pretty good. Is that Heather Graham??
Let us know if you find the link to that Shea movie. :)
This movie is hilarious! I love that hearse driver!
Better than Weekend at Bernie's! LOL.
I didn't see Heather Graham listed as being in this movie on IMDb, I'm unfamiliar with her, Christina Applegate is in the film from Married With Children.
Wikipedia says "After established record companies declined to become involved, Kaufman raised $3000 and pressed 2000 copies of an album entitled Lie: The Love & Terror Cult.[6] Consisting of recordings made from 1967 to 1969, the album contained thirteen songs."
Part of an interview with Phil Kaufman can be seen here, Phil Kaufman
Other films I forgot to mention are "The Ramrodder", both Cathy Share and Bobby Beausoliel appear, clips can be seen on YouTube. It's a softcore porn.
"Mondo Hollywood" is posted on YouTube, Jay Sebring and Bobby Beausoliel appear, I doubt they knew each other though, but it is possible I guess.
Clips of the Kenneth Anger film "Lucifer Rising" can be seen on YouTube, reportedly, Beausoleil appears in the film and wrote the soundtrack. The film is slightly pornographic, so I won't post a link here.
Gram is short for Ingram. He actually played with Jim Stafford (I don't like Spiders and Snakes fame). His family history is quite tragic. His sister died in a boating accident. If you ever rent The Trip (Peter Fonda/Jack Nicholson), you can see Gram playing in a scene from a night club. I believe it is with ISB (International Submarine Band)...a new book came out about Gram last year....Breakfast in a Nudie Suit by Ian Dunlop, who played in the ISB and an early line up of the Flying Burrito Brotherrs
Thanx for your comment Lynn, I was looking up Phil Kaufman when I found the story about Parsons, I'm very unfamiliar with Parsons, thanx for your info.
I'd forgotten about "I don't like Spiders and Snakes", I looked it up on YouTube, it can be seen Here.
Also, if you haven't figured it out by now, I don't "rent" movies, the entire film "The Trip"(1967) is posted on YouTube.
Hi Lynn! Thanks for the info!!! :)
Gram Parsons is the opening act at Altamont in the Rolling Stones movie Gimme Shelter. He sings Six Days On The Road with his band The Flying Burrito Brothers.
