Roman as Chief Conspirator???
According to a number of studies, homicide is one of the leading causes of death for pregnant women in the United States... and the perpetrator is usually her husband:

Case in point: Laci Peterson was overjoyed with the anticipation, of having her first child.  Unfortunately for Laci, her husband Scott wasn’t so excited.  Scott was feeling more and more “tied down” and decided to rid himself of the problem.

What if the intended targets at Cielo Drive were Jay & Sharon, and the others were incidental?  Just the opposite of what is supposed.

Who would benefit most from Sharon’s death?

It’s a fact, that Roman never took his marriage vows seriously.  Unfaithful, is an understatement.  If Sharon divorced Roman, he stood to lose financially… i.e., division of assets….child support….alimony…for the next 18 years or so…. or for longer.

Did Roman think Sharon was leaving him for Jay?  What better reason to kill them both?  It was no secret to Roman that Jay spent a lot of time at Cielo Drive.  Was Roman really okay with that?

Why did Roman let Sharon believe, that he'd accompany her back to the US in July… and then back out at the last minute?  Because, he supposedly had to work on a film?  THEN--on Friday  (the night of the murders), he suddenly told Sharon, he could work on the film in LA after all?   It's probably just a coincidence, but it's a big one.

So how did it go from Roman wanting Sharon gone… to the Manson Family being involved?
We don’t believe Roman knew any of the Manson clan, but it doesn’t mean, he didn’t know any unsavory characters in the UK, who DID know the Manson Family.

Roman spent his childhood years surviving the horrors of the Holocaust… running, hiding, lying, being severely beaten and witnessing murders frequently.  Could this have transformed him into someone capable of directing movies that were violent, sadistic and gruesome?  Do those experiences make life more precious…..or more dispensable?

We do know, that Roman is capable of raping a child.  That, we know for sure.  He also had an affair with an under-aged Nastassja Kinski while filming the movie Tess.  Was this man also capable of instigating murder(s)?

  1. I have a lot to say about Ro-Man Pole-Yanski". HA HA.

I don't think much of him. He's a cheating, lying, narcissist.

    It's always about HIM.

I'll delve into this tomorrow. It's time for a cat-nap. HA HA.

Thanks Venus & Carol for your help!!!

  3. "And the Academy Award for his portrayal of a bereaved husband at his wife's funeral goes to....Roman Polanski."

If you've seen the clip of Sharon's funeral, you can see acting at its best. People were practically carrying Roman. You could have mopped the floor with him.

Boy, he was really a pillar of strength for his mother and sister-in-laws.

  4. Roman was never really interested in the baby. Sharon even waited to tell him that she was pregnant so he wouldn't make her have an abortion.

I think at that time in his life, being tied down with a family was repugnant to him.

  5. Thanks katie and Venus for including my name since you two did most of the work!
I was a Sharon fan before she was killed (yes, I'm that old). We didn't have the media we have now, but I did read movie magazines and newspapers and they were filled with stories about TLB and the personal lives of some of the victims. From the beginning Roman was considered a suspect because, as katie pointed out, most pregnant women who are murdered are murdered by their husbands. I still think there is a good possibility that Roman was behind the murders, but I keep coming back to the fact that he passed a lie detector test given to him by the LAPD. I go back and forth on this. It's a great topic for discussion and I think katie and Venus brought up some good points to consider.

  6. I'd hate to think that he was involved in the murders, but Katie has already brought up most of the reasons that make me wonder such as....he didn't want kids, which is why Sharon didn't tell him until it was too late for her to get an abortion, he didn't come home with her even though he'd let her believe that he would, he kept putting her off when she asked when he'd return and then suddenly, the day of the murders, he tells her that he can come home after all. To quote the church lady, "How conveeeeenient."

People seem to forget that Roman really wanted to be an actor and he gave an excellent performance at her funeral. I'm not saying he didn't grieve, but he should've had some compassion for her mom instead of making her have to be strong for him.

In the new book, it's said that Doris didn't see him from the time of the murders until the day of the funeral. Why didn't he contact her family when he returned to LA? Something's off about the whole thing.

Oh, and Carol? As to the lie detector test, remember this? He lit up a cigarette after telling the guy who administered it that he didn't smoke.

  7. Hi Carol! Hi Venus!

    VENUS....love your avatar!!! LOL.

As far as the lie detector test goes, it reminds me of when Jerry Seinfeld asked George Constanza to help him learn to lie to pass a lie detector test, and George's reply was "Jerry...just remember this...it's not a lie, if YOU believe it". HA HA.

  9. Well, Roman was against bringing children of his own into the world. And at times his treatment of Sharon wasn't exactly "loving". He expected her attention to be on him, and wanted her to act like his being unfaithful was okay and her not to question it. He was so full of himself. He was not happy when she told him she was pregnant (the fact that she waited until it was too late to abort and that she told Jay first speaks volumes), so it wouldn't surprise me if he was less than enthusiastic about his impending "fatherhood". Some even said he treated Sharon horribly those last weeks in London before she returned to Cielo Drive to await his return that he kept postponing. I don't want to think that he had something to do with the murders but his behavior during and since is more than a little bit suspicious.

  16. On the lie detector test, he seemed to be trying to blame it on Jay or Voytek.

It's easy to blame things on dead folks. They can't defend themselves.

  18. I'll have to dig-up the lie detector segment, where Roman actually admits to having sex with two different airline stewardesses, within 48 hours of Sharon's (and his unborn baby's) brutal murder.

Seriously... that behavior is pretty ridiculous...

If he didn't admit to it point-blank... I wouldn't have believed something that bizarrely insensitive, was possible.

That lie detector segment was actually on the blog previously... but unfortunately, was lost when Michael's Youtube channel was closed months ago..

    It's probably back up somewhere...

And yet Debra will defend Roman from here to kingdom come and insist that Sharon's marriage to him was perfect.

  22. My question is that we know that Chalie Manson was a sociopath and Bugliosi said he didn't do Chalie a Lie detector test because sociopaths can make it through it.So is it possible that Roman Polanskis childhood and witnessing murders made him also into sociopath too? but the more clever one the one that did his deeds behind the curtain? If that's true what Bug said then he could make it through right? As you know theres been a lot of killers which could cope with a world. They were killing machines but they also had families.

  23. Roman wanted Rosemary's baby instead...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi Vikess. Welcome to the blog!

I'm not really sure what you are asking, but I don't know if Roman would be classified as a sociopath. I think that in the event that he DID have something to do with Sharon's murder, he probably had feelings of remorse afterward, which a sociopath wouldn't.

But...I'm no psychologist so I really can't say.

Carol, I'll never understand Debra's feelings for Roman. If WE'VE all read about Roman's treatment of Sharon, you know SHE has to know. Even for that reason, I'd shun him if he was married to my sister.

  27. katie, maybe Roman is supporting Debra financially.

  28. Carol, I hadn't thought about that, but it's a possibility.

I think she was working as a mail carrier or something. Or did I dream that?

I really know very little about Debra come to think of it. :)

  29. Hello Muirmaiden!!! Welcome to the blog!!

Yes, Roman was/is a narcissus. The world revolves around him. Everyone else is secondary.

I've often wondered why men like Roman marry. They don't like commitment, they don't like messy hassles, they don't like clinging women....just be up front and say "hey, I'll never marry you, if you get knocked up you're on your own" and be honest about everything.

Why did Roman even marry Sharon???

  33. I always thought it was strange that Roman supposedly went around and tried to look for clues in his friends' houses, hoping to discover that one of them was the killer.

He said that he suspected John Phillips because he (Roman) had screwed his wife Michelle.

First of all, why suspect your friends of this??? And secondly, if he screwed his friend's wife, his friend most likely would not retaliate by killing everyone in the house. He would most likely just try to screw his wife for revenge.

    Hmmmm.....

    ReplyDelete
  34. If Roman susupected the husbands of the women he had sex with, there'd be thousands of suspects. I don't understand those morons. Supposedly, some of Sharon's friends had sex with him. Some "friends." If they really liked Sharon, why didn't they say no when propositioned by her "beloved" husband? And why did the "beloved" husband proposition friends of his supposedly "beloved" wife??

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yeah Venus I agree. If the list of suspects was husbands/boyfriends of the women he'd screwed, that would be quite a list.

I think it's unnatural to suspect your "friends" in the first place. I never understood that.
