How Cute is This?! LOL... I LOVE It!
Miss Spiritual Tramp sent the following photo...
She writes:
"Lynyrd, my kitty cat MEOW MIX MANSON would like to know if she could join your book club... kitty loves to read and loves Charlie".I responded:
" LOL That's AWESOME! She's IN the club! hahaha BTW... is that really her name? Can I post this on the blog?" LOL
Spiritual Tramp:
"Hahaha... actually her real name is Sasha but MEOW MIX MANSON is totally her nick name because she is a witchy Scorpio cat and I am pretty sure she is a practitioner of the DARK ARTS.... she has this ability to make me do whatever she wants!! Yesss put her on the blog".
Thanks Spiritual Tramp! You ROCK! I LOVE our New Book Club Member!! Ladies and gentlemen... I give you... "MEOW MIX MANSON"!
This photo is great.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to figure-out a way to fit this photo permanently into the sidebar somewhere.
That's the exact same red, soft-cover copy of Sander's book, that I have! LOL
Seriously... this email, made my day.
This is awesome Lynyrd!! Meow Mix Manson will be thrilled and she would very much like to be a permanent fixture on the blog..like a mascot!!!
ReplyDeletePuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrr!!! HA HA.
ReplyDeleteShe resembles him. The "slanty eye" look. I love that leopard skin she's lying on.
Welcome to Meow Mix Manson, our new mascot!!!!
OK... she's been successfully added to the sidebar! LOL
ReplyDeleteI have written permission from "Mommy"! LOLOL
I wish I could get the photo a bit larger (in the sidebar)... but, that would require getting into the complex "control panel", and "html" crap... and, I'd probably end-up destroying something else by mistake... LOL...
ReplyDeleteI'll leave it, as is, for now... until I have a couple hours to read-up on manipulating photos in the sidebar. LOL
This makes me happy because over the last month or so Meow Mix Manson has not been well...and for a time her future looked uncertain which obviously caused me lots of grief.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to report after tons of testing and x-rays and like seriously over $600.00 in vet bills and medication she is going to be just fine. It turns out that she had a kidney stone which is treatable with medication that she will need to take for a while.
Like Charlie...Meow Mix Manson is a survivor!!
K-i-t-t-y!!!! SOOOOO SWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEETTTT!!!!
ReplyDeleteHA HA.
I guess I'd better go hug my own kitties night. They're all sweet. Sometimes. LOL.
ReplyDeleteIt's really cold tonight so they're all on my bed. Sigh....
BTW, off subject, I watched the movie Secretariat tonight. What a moving show. I cried when he won by 31 lengths. WOW!!!
I'm just an animal softie. Love those critters. LOL.
Night everyone!!! :)
Hi Spiritual Tramp.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your cat is healthy, and doing well.
Now, she'll be seen by hundreds of visitors daily... AHahahaha
That's definitely "Celebrity Cat Status"!
: )
Missy I'm so glad that Meow Mix Manson's maladies were treatable!!!
ReplyDeleteI know the pain of losing an animal. I'm glad it turned out okay!!!
Long Live Meow Mix Manson!!! :)
Yes she is now the STAR that she has always wanted to be...she seriously loves the camera...its a strange thing for sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Lynyrd for making Meow Mix Manson's dream come true..YOU ARE THE BEST!!
I just realized... I put the cat, right above the goldfish tank!
ReplyDeleteBWahahahahaha!
LMAO!
Well... she'll be well-fed!
To freakin' funny!
LOL
Catanoia
ReplyDeletegeez it took five surgeries to get rid of my kidney stones.
ReplyDeletethe heck with the cat, I gotta ask, is that a real photo of Miss Spiritual Tramp? Bloggers aren't supposed to look like supermodels, are they?
ReplyDeleteDo you think Burroughs, Hitler or Manson ever saw Doctor Zhivago, Miss ST? Just a silly question from looking at your profile.
ReplyDeleteWait, what a dumb question, the book wasn't published till 1957 so Adolph is out. Kind of a tickle to contemplate though - Hitler and his pals were big film fans, that film would have sent them into a tizzy for sure.
yeah, I would like to know Charlie's favorite films. Or even if he gets to see any. Does anyone know if he got to see any of the Manson films, especially the CBS one?
ReplyDelete>>>Mr. P said: Catanoia>>>
ReplyDelete???? HA HA.
>>>Beauders said: geez it took five surgeries to get rid of my kidney stones.>>>
Sorry to hear that. Maybe cat kidney stones are easier to get rid of????
Just be glad you didn't pass it during the circus like Kramer. LOL.
>>>Leary said: the heck with the cat, I gotta ask, is that a real photo of Miss Spiritual Tramp? Bloggers aren't supposed to look like supermodels, are they?>>>
ReplyDeleteHubba hubba. Down boy.....don't salivate all over Missy's avatar. HA HA.
>>>Bobby said: I thought Charlie was like Hitler & only went for tha Wagner plays. Of course untill the white album came out lol>>>
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA. Good one Bobby!
Hitler loved Richard Wagner. I've never really cared for "Vagna" myself. But then, I'm not a megla-maniac looking to take over the world.
As far as Charlie's likes go for Wagner, Lohengrin is a far cry from "Piggies". LOL.
Beaders, seriously, kidney stones are a serious problem. My nephew has had them.
ReplyDeleteI think if you're prone to get those, you should lay off the calcium-rich foods and drinks.
But, who am I....Dr. Oz??? I'm sure your doctor already told you that.
I just care. :)
Hi Leary...thanks for the compliment..yes that really is my picture but I assure you I am no supermodel, I am only like 5'5 and thats not my thing at all.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Zhivago is a beautiful movie and shot in such an amazing way, I love watching the seasons change. I was also named after one of the characters in that movie so its always been kind of special to me for that reason. I have never read the actual Boris Pasternak novel of the same name but I have always wanted to and probably should.
I can't imagine Charlie watching Doctor Zhivago, I don't know if he can even sit still that long. As for Burroughs that's kind of a tough one. My instinct would tell me he would think it was reactionary bourgeois crap but Bill was a bit of a softie too which ironically can be seen in his love of cats. "The Cat Inside" is an amazing book and one of the best things Burroughs ever wrote.
Okay this is one of the best things ever from "The Cat Inside" by William S.Burroughs.
ReplyDelete"Evidence indicates that cats were first tamed in Egypt. The Egyptians stored grain, which attracted rodents, which attracted cats. (No evidence that such a thing happened with the Mayans, though a number of wild cats are native to the area.) I don't think this is accurate. It is certainly not the whole story. Cats didn't start as mousers. Weasels and snakes and dogs are more efficient as rodent-control agents. I postulate that cats started as psychic companions, as Familiars, and have never deviated from this function."
Missy, cats were revered by the ancient Egyptians. Some were even mummified like humans. They were considered mysterious and godlike.
ReplyDeleteNot to disagree with Burroughs, but my cats have left many lizards, snakes, mice, rats & squirrels on my porch, some with heads, some without, as trophies.
ReplyDeleteI've watched them play with Japanese Beetles until they don't move anymore and are no fun to play with.....
well, jeez, thanks for ruining Secretariat for me...
ReplyDeleteStarship!!! HA HA HA.
ReplyDeleteI guess the 31 length win was only news to me. LOLOL.
Hubba bubba??? You're the best Katie. But I don't salivate, to old. My salivating days are long past. I just appreciate beauty is all, whether it is in a tree or a sky or a car or a person, whatever, beauty is to be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the cat info, Miss ST. I read your profile and just got that image of Burroughs and Hitler and Charlie sitting on the couch together watching Dr Zhivago. There was a great Zhivago story bit in a movie called 'Must Love Dogs' with Cusak and Diane Lane. Terrible ending but an otherwise charming film. And the Zhivago lines cracked me up.
Growing up I was a hard core Kerouac guy, not so much Burroughs, but now I can't read Jack at all - he just seems like the most self-indulgent narcissist ever. I'll have to check out Burroughs again.
I wonder if Manson's favorite movies are Doris Day movies? Wholesome for us, porn for him..
ReplyDeleteand sorry, Miss ST, I didn't think you were the supermodel type based on your profile but couldn't think of another discription. I was going to say goddess but then Katie really would have skewered me. Just a lovely woman is what I should have said.
ReplyDeleteI always found Doris sexy, Mr Dill. And Sophia in Houseboat. And Gina Lollabrigida.
ReplyDeleteCharlie and Doris can't possibly be true. I see it cited on these blogs from time to time, but I can never completely tell if it is a joke or not. I had held out hope that Charlie might come clean in his old age about his gigolo days but it doesn't look like it.
Ahhh Leary, I'm just pullin' your chain. LOL.
ReplyDeleteBTW....
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!
HUGS!!

AHahahaha
Now THAT'S funny! LOL
I've got a strange feeling that lot's of weird things could be considered porn by Manson! : )
Doris was linked with a black baseball player (whose name escapes me at the moment) and totally denied it in her autobiography. In a book that came out a year or so ago, it was said that the story was true.
ReplyDeleteWhile I think she had better taste in men than Manson, one never knows. One of her husbands was a wife beater, another one went through all her money so I guess stranger things have happened.
I believe it was Maury Wills, the Dodger base stealer.
ReplyDeleteStill can't see Doris with Charlie. he would have had to have gone through the car wash a half dozen times, she was a clean freak.
,Miss Spiritual Tramp,
ReplyDeleteI just picked up "Junky" from Burroughs and LOVE "Drugstore Cowboy". As I'm sure you know, Burroughs plays the role of the old priest.. Cool. Later.
Drugstore Cowboy, is a great movie... one of my favorites.
ReplyDeletethere was no chance that i was going to pass any kidney stones one was the size of a golf ball. that's why it took five surgeries to get rid of it. now they tell me my gall bladder has to be removed.
