Hello Folks - I've added a "Blog Index" to the sidebar, which should make searching and navigating older posts much easier.  Enjoy!

60 comments:

  1. Balls... if THAT wasn't a complete pain in the ass! LOL

I had to go back, and add a "subject label" to every freakin' thread... everyone one... all the way back to day one! Whew!

In the end... it was worth it though.
Every thread is catalogued by topic now... so, finding older sh#t in the future should be a snap!

You want to re-read Lynn's thread on "Wavy's Hog Farm"?
Find it in the index... "click", and you're there!

No more endless, and hapless scrolling...

"Now where was that freakin' arrest sheet"???
    Scrolling, scrolling, scrolling...
(If I had a dime for every time I searched the blog that way, I could retire). LOL

But... those days are over, now... what with the new "handy-dandy blog index" set-up!
    AHahahaha

    Peace... Lynyrd

  2. Thanks Lynyrd. Good job. Much easier to navigate.

Have we done that many threads???? Seems like just yesterday when we started this up. LOL.

  4. El Coyote Grille just opened in a strip mall about a mile and a half from where I live.

Guess who plans to be a customer?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Wow Tom... El Coyote? ... in New Jersey?

This is gonna sound like a stupid question... but is this "El Coyote" (of which you speak), affliliated with "THE" El Coyote in Cali... or just a coincidence on the other side of the country?

I mean "THE" "El Coyote" in Cali, isn't a chain is it?

Those who have have eaten at the California El Coyote, say... "although the atmosphere is cool, the food is not so great".

    Although... who knows...
They've been open for decades, so evidently someone likes it!
And C'mon... how hard is it to screw-up Mexican?
It is Mexican, right folks? LOLOL

Ground beef or chicken, with beans, peppers and cheese... and LOTS of it... on your choice of wrapping/shell. LOL
Simple as it is... there's nothing better than a good mexican meal though.
Done right... you definitely walk away satisfied.
Or, as Clarence Carter says: "sassified"! LOL

  6. I think this is just local people. But when I go there, I'll feel them out to see if they have interests in the Manson saga.

All food tastes great to me, so I'm hard to disappoint. But they are located at a gas station with a couple of take outs. Its not Beverly Hills. But neither am I.

Still, El Coyote.....how awesome is that!

  7. >>>Lynyrd said: Ground beef or chicken, with beans, peppers and cheese... and LOTS of it... on your choice of wrapping/shell. LOL>>>

Don't forget the beef or chicken fajitas, pinto or borracho beans, rice and LOTS of guacamole!!!

I've heard that the food at El Coyote sucks but the beer is good. How can you screw up beer?? LOL.

  8. I just hope nobody kills me after I eat there.

Bad joke. I take it back.

    ReplyDelete
  9. LOL

Wasn't it Will Rogers, who said: "I never met a beer, I didn't like"? LOL

Or, was that... "I never met a man, I didn't like"? LOL

    Easy mistake. : )

  10. I love Mexican food and it is my main argument on why they should be allowed into the country.

That and they cut the grass, trim the hedges...shit that needs to be done, that you and I don't really feel like doing anymore.

    No... don't take it back.
That was one of the better one-liners.
    "Circumstance quality" actually! LOL

Yeah, I had seen that video before... cool stuff.

  14. She a beautiful girl....and she could come to South Jersey, walk the beaches, gamble at the Casinos, eat and drink for free the the rest of her life.....but I'm sure she's happy with whatever she's got going on in her life.

    Peace.

  15. I added the "Ruth Video" to the thread for others.

It's only a minute long, but it's still quite interesting.

    Thanks Tom!

  16. Did Charlie say Ruth Ann married a bus driver when she was 15??? Or did I misunderstand?

    ReplyDelete
  17. She did marry some dude from those ranch days, and if you'll forgive me, his name escapes me at the moment.

Needless to say, the marriage failed. She married again. Should I say it again?

    But she's still our Oh-Weesh!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thanks Tom.

What Charlie is saying doesn't make sense. I thought Dean Moorehouse was her father. Charlie's making it sound like she was just living there and it wasn't her family.

He says she married to get away from the "family that had captured her" then moved to the ranch.

    Is that what he said?

  19. Who cares what Charlie Manson says? He has off the chart mental illness.

Other than that, he's an okay fellow.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Let me cite some lines from DR. David Williams brilliant essay of Charles Manson, "The american meaning of Charles Manson."
-Nor is it clear how Manson’s followers understood him. Perhaps, as he claimed, they took him more literally than he intended. Perhaps they heard things spoken through him which he never intended to say? It is clear that at least one of his followers, a girl named Ouish, saw that both interpretations were possible. She told her friend Barbara Hoyt, “We all have to go through Helter Skelter. If we don’t do it in our heads, we will have to do it physically. If you don’t die in your head, you’ll die when it comes down.” Here, the literal and the metaphysical meanings run on parallel tracks-.

    ReplyDelete
  21. And I don't know what that means....anybody smarter than me?

Look at those hands go up.

    ReplyDelete
  22. >>>Tom said: Who cares what Charlie Manson says? He has off the chart mental illness.>>>

Right! What was I thinking?? Trying to make any sense of anything Charlie says is a waste of time and energy. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  23. >>>V717 said: Perhaps they heard things spoken through him which he never intended to say?>>>

    WTF does that even mean?????

I guess if Charlie said to "go kill pigs" what it really meant was "go to the store and get some bacon for breakfast".

    HA HA.

  24. Charlie Manson is a five foot seven schizophrenia who if it weren't for the murder of Sharon Tate would never be known or discussed.

And I'm not saying he isn't funny and entertaining. I'm saying he's a dime a dozen criminal class punk who had the good fortune of running into some middle class pseudo revolutionary white girls.

Who were pretty. Something me and Ms Katie seem to disagree on.

But it is what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yeah Tom, they were pretty....Pretty ugly!! HA HA.

Now I have to admit, Ruth was cute. But she was too young to be hag-bait.

I promise I won't make any smart ass comments. Uh....Uh....Uh.

  28. Ruth married a bus driver to get away from HER family, then quickly ditched him to meet up w/ Charlie and his family.

Doubt if they were actually divorced back then......Hell, maybe they never got divorced. Or legally married for that matter.

  29. woof my baby girl. Don't care what she did, who she funked, what she was about.

That was then. Now is now.

  30. Lurch how does a 15 year old get married without parental consent? They were probably just gypsy married or something.

  33. Yeah that was fun. I hope they have a good guest on next Sunday. But in reality, when you get to posting instant messages, you kinda lose out on the audio of the interviewee.

    Oh well...it's still fun. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I thought it was fun too.

And I have no idea what this fellow said. We just had a great time cutting him up.

  35. I know Tom. It's like a Roast. HA HA.

Remember when Dean Martin had those roasts and everyone tore someone a new asshole??

    HA HA HA.

That's exactly how it came across to me as well.
Manson's words (in this interview) strongly suggest, that Ruth was adopted.
'Course, in tomorrow's interview, Manson might suggest Ruth was his own daughter, I suppose. LOL
    Tom's right.
    Don't read too far into Manson's double-speak, or you'll end-up killing someone.

There are significant amounts of truth, to that statement.
    Marlin Marynick said himself (paraphrasing):
"Manson essentially exhibited the same 'persona' as most homeless, transient men at soup kitchens".

    Lynyrd Replies:

I went over and read the comments.
Looks like you guys/gals had a fun time.
My only complaint, is that they should post the audio from the program immediately after the program.
Why does it take 24-48 hours to post the audio from a radio show?
    What's the hold-up?
It'd be nice to go over there an hour or so after-the-fact, (for folks like me, who can't make the show at 8pm EST sharp) and actually HEAR the audio, while reading the comments section.
    What's the big lay-over?
How long does it take to upload audio?
    Just a thought...

  42. Katie's a great writer. And everything she is involved with, is all the more better because she was there.

  43. Dr David Smith is the shrink who diagnosed Charlie as Ambulatory Pschizophrenic.

BTW Charlie was 5'2" not 5'7"

dean and diane moorehouse were Ruth's parents.
Anybody have a pic of diane moorhouse? I don't know if she's indian even though Ive chatted with her online. dianr may be part indian. She sorta reminds me of rita coolidge.

  45. I don't know Tom...
I've seen photos of Dean, and some outcomes are just in-explicable! LOL

  46. There are things in life that can't be explained.

One of them, how Dean Morehouse had a daughter like Ruth.

But that is the mystery that keeps us all going.

    A beautiful girl.

  47. I love this freakin' song! LOL

    "And you know, you know"!
    : )

    The girls voices are AWESOME!
    Great backing vocals...

(Technically, the title of the song is mis-labeled).
It's "Ra-Hide Away"... but, it's all good) LOL

  48. katie i lost my editor, and with three new sources coming out on the case the book is delayed. i probably have 50 more pages in the meat of the book and another 50 from the new sources, then it needs to get edited and then hopefully it will be ready for publication.

  51. Lynyrd, Lynyrd, Lynyrd....

For a guy with such musical talent as you have, you seem to suddenly turn "tone deaf" when these alley cats are singing vocals.

There's no depth or volume to their singing...it's all falsetto.

And I'm no guitarist, but it sounds to me like Charlie just plays the same chords over and over again.

Question. Would anybody spend one thin dime of their hard earned money to buy this music if these people had never killed anyone? Think about it.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The guitarist, and male vocalist on that recording is Clem.

That's from the "Family Jams" album.
    I have the entire CD.
Manson wasn't on that album at all.

(I'm assuming he was already in prison?)

From what I'm told... Grogan honed his skills in prison, and is now a much better guitarist.

  53. great to see 'bruins win cup'in the blog index!

  54. i think the family jams album was made during the trial.

  55. Well I'm glad Steve is a better guitarist because he sucks on this song. The only way to go is up. Much like the body he buried.

    And those vocals suck.

These guys were NOT musicians, they were killers. Please stop pledging allegiance to them. They SUCK!

It's like the Partridge Family practicing, or people trying out for "The Monkees".

    Unlistenable. UGGGHHHH!!!
