Is this "Cats" from TOTL? Only 4 people there can speak.. It's like Liz's site: I sent her $50 and she let her "handler" ban me the next week. She won't return a dime.
I'm going after mail fraud.
Blog owners and "handlers" are nothing alike. watch out for Liz's site. She's friendly until she cashes the check.
These blogs are a place for people to chit-chat... have a few laughs... and hopefully make a few friends. That's it. My ego would love to tell you they're so much more than that... fact is... they're not.
If you're viewing any of these sites as anything more important... and certainly, if there are hurt feelings... you've taken an unhealthy perspective.
State your opinion. If someone disagrees, quite frankly, who cares. No one has ever made a single statement... on any blog... which everyone universally agreed with. It's never happened. Leave your comments with the full expectation, that someone will disagree... you'll be better-off.
Furthermore... there's not a single person (including myself) who knows everything... not one.
Take a giant step back folks... it's just a blog. This is not real life. Blogging is open to anyone with a computer... therfore, it's inherently informal.
If you have a fact to share, that's great! Bring it on! BUT... bear in mind folks... most things shared on these blogs are NOT facts. They're opinions. Relate your opinions, as just that... opinions... and you'll be MUCH better-off.
Lastly, don't send money to anyone you haven't met in-person. Common sense...
Here is a comment someone left on the Star City website:
"Anon8695: I'm sharing it wherever I can. Looking forward to listening. Can you ask Stephanie if she remembers if Charlie has a big "unit" ? Manson is only like 5' 2 but sometimes little guys are hung...thanks"
Do you think they'll ask her that question? HA HA HA.
I totally agree with you Mr.Poirot. When I post comments at eviliz, Matt thinks it's you. Right. Eviliz has a handler, and it's Mr. Matt. It stopped being eviliz's site a while ago. All the fun left that site when Matt took over. I'm not sure why her role has diminished...must be stuff going on if she asked you to send money. Why can't Matt help her out?
the most surprising thing i got out of it was that she and kitty thought that watkins and poston were trying to kill them when they escaped from from barker ranch.
Well I will say that Stephanie said that Charlie was at the ranch on August 8th, unlike his defense that he was in San Diego at the time. He was lying. She says they did get a ticket. Now if it can't be found is of no consequence. That ticket was in the Hostess Twinkie Truck when Mary & Sandy were arrested on August 8th.
She also says that Bugliosi is a nice guy. He never threatened her or tried to put words in her mouth. He only tried to make her feel safe in testifying.
Stephanie Schram sounded strong, lucid and balanced, although she didn't really add anything you probably didn't already know.
The appeal of this story is that most of the characters are no different than people you and I interact with everyday. They went to the dark side, for a time.
Bill Garretson, now there is a fellow who hasn't told everything that he knows. I think he hid when Big Patty came a knockin'.

Thank you Brian and Cats! Lovely to hear your voices.
About the ticket, AC always claims the ticket is missing because it proves that Charlie wasn't in town and the prosecution didn't want that known. It's quite the opposite...that ticket would bloody well reveal that he had plenty of time to be at Spahn's Ranch in the late afternoon or early evening of 8/8/69.
Did you hear Stephanie also confirm that on the night of the Cielo murders he went to sleep with her in the trailer, left at some point and returned to the trailer around dawn?
My take on all of that, when you are a teenager and high on drugs, you love everything. Until maybe it goes bad, as it apparently did at Chatsworth that summer.
Yes indeedy. Charlie had plenty of time to get back to the ranch on August 8th to order the murders. And Stephanie also revealed, as in the book Helter Skelter, that she and Charlie went to the trailer for sex, and he left and didn't return until the early morning hours of August 9th. Which left him plenty of time to order the murders, then to go to Cielo Drive and move things around, returning to the trailer in the early morning hours of August 9th.
There should be no more whining that Charlie wasn't there! HA HA.
The other link evidently wasn't working for some folks.
Well... it actually worked fine... but you had to navigate one extra step (choosing the episode you wanted, i.e., "Schram")... which ultimately led to your page anyway...
does anyone but me find it strange that watkins, poston and crockett who had(supposedly) broken with manson by this time would be chasing the girls through the desert trying(ss thought)to kill them? begs a few follow up questions if you ask me.
Matt, you and I, and anyone with any brains, knows that Poston, Watkins & Crockett were not chasing Stephanie or anyone else to kill them. It was Clem.
Why would they be doing that? They weren't even with Manson then.
Why would Stephanie think that?
Manson planted that thought in her head. He was mad at at Paul Watkins for leaving his "cult". He was mad at Poston for "prying away his prey".
1. Did Manson refer to the people at the ranch as the Family? He claims the press made it up. 2. Did he talk about Helter Skelter? 3. On August 8th did you hear Manson say, "Now is the time for Helter Skelter"?
katie i'm pretty sure thats what she said. she knows the difference between clem and watkins so what made her think that watkins and posten wanted to kill them? if you watch the manson gang dvd theres paul watkins hanging out with the family(and clem) after the murders. maybe in his book and testimony pw makes himself out to be more anti manson than he really was to make himself look like one of the good guys. or maybe stephanie misspoke. i'll have to get out the watkins book again but i'll bet you if its mentioned in there watkins will say he helped them escape. if he lied about that then everything he says is suspect. that why i felt a few followup questions would have been in order.
Matt I agree. Stephanie did say that Watkins, Poston & Crockett were chasing them to kill them. I really don't know why she thought that.
I don't know Paul Watkins from Adam, but he seems believable when he's talking. He doesn't rant and rave and brag like the others. His story makes sense to me.
Stephanie doesn't say why she thought they were going to kill them. I agree, that should have been pursued further because it's unlike what we've heard before.
I got the feeling that Paul Watkins went back to the family after Charlie was arrested because he felt safer to be there. I could be wrong.

Good questions Sbuch. I don't think that Manson referred to them as a "family". I think it was the other members who thought that.
I don't know if he used the term "Helter Skelter", but when they had dinner with Stephanie's sister, he was going off about war and how dead bodies were going to be found on lawns. So he was definitely talking about it.
I don't know if Stephanie would hear Manson say "now is the time for Helter Skelter". It sounds like when they got to the ranch she was just kind of nervous and scared and wanted to get away from the crowd.
>>>What would you guys have asked her?>>>
Well as Matt pointed out, I'd like to ask her about Watkins, et al trying to kill her.
I think I'd also like to pin her down on exactly what she heard and saw at the Ranch on August 9th & 10th, 1969. I think she's being a little vague about it.
in watkins book he claims to not have known about the girls escape.he says that he was broke and living in a cave with crockett and posten at the time and that they were warned by don ward about the upcoming bust at barker ranch
'i did'nt know then, nor did brooks or crockett, that during the raid stephanie and kitty lutesinger had been trying to escape from the family'
maybe it was more a situation of manson telling schram that poston, watkins, and crockett were killers and when they ran away maybe she thought manson would sent the men after the two girls.
I think charlie's way with women was to listen to them and al least act as if he was treating them as people and not objects. To the guys, he gave a macho spiel of "women are to fuck" but not to the girls themselves. and to this very day there seems hardly a man that will do this, and those that have the wit to do it will have girls flocking to them.
He really was very Christ-like in many ways. Jesus was good with women too. He also talked to them as if they were human and important and told them their minds and spiritual quests were more important than housework.
"He really was very Christ-like in many ways. Jesus was good with women too. He also talked to them as if they were human and important and told them their minds and spiritual quests were more important than housework"
That's a very perceptive comment and very true. Women flocked to Jesus too and interestingly, they were the ones to actually believe he could raise a dead man or when he rose from the dead, it was they that believed before the men would.
At some point, I will get around to telling my kids there are more important things than housework....but not yet !

Matt has always been pretty cool with me... sensible and easy-going.
Cat's has always been polite and helpful.
Not sure what to tell ya dude.
I have to wonder... maybe it's something you're doing?

Hi Mr. P.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you send money to Liz? Why would you send money to anyone you don't really know? What did you expect?
Thanks for the heads up Kimchi!
ReplyDeleteSo Cats is interviewing Stephanie. I'll have to tune in and see what happens.
I'll probably tune in as well, seeing that the Phillies won't be playing tonight and all.
ReplyDeleteHere is a comment someone left on the Star City website:

ReplyDeleteThanks... Lynyrd
Matt accuses anyone that doesn't agree with him of being someone else.
ReplyDeleteIt is Stephanie Schramm time......yeah, like she has something to say. Hopefully she isn't burnt and goofy.
ReplyDeleteBrian Davis is the DJ. What a walk down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteStephanie says that Charlie gave her a wedding ring. It was a hose clamp. HA HA HA.
ReplyDeletethe most surprising thing i got out of it was that she and kitty thought that watkins and poston were trying to kill them when they escaped from from barker ranch.
ReplyDeletebill garretson next sunday!

Stephanie also said that Gypsy & Squeaky tried to get her back to the Family when she left. She refused.
ReplyDeleteShe said that Squeaky and the others were not like they were on camera, they were very nice when the camera wasn't on.
Stephanie Schram sounded strong, lucid and balanced, although she didn't really add anything you probably didn't already know.
ReplyDeleteThe appeal of this story is that most of the characters are no different than people you and I interact with everyday. They went to the dark side, for a time.
Bill Garretson, now there is a fellow who hasn't told everything that he knows. I think he hid when Big Patty came a knockin'.
New little tid-bits, she did mention her feelings, a kind of romantic side to CM - I guess at 17 that would have been romatic...
ReplyDeleteMatt...Bill Garretson next Sunday? I thought he was in a loony bin somewhere. I'll have to tune into that one.
ReplyDeleteTom, I got the same thing out of it you did. Kinda the same old stuff, except..she didn't defend Charlie. I was expecting that.
BTW everyone, if you didn't already know this, Stephanie is writing a book. Don't know the name of it. Does anyone???

ReplyDeleteHi Kimchi. Thanks for the heads up. Good stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteShe did say that she was "in love" with Charlie at first. She said he had "a way with women". I've heard this before but I really don't understand it.
A guy takes you to Esalean and beats the crap out of you. And that's love???
Maybe I was just a protected little baby back in 1969, but I'd never have anything to do with a guy like that.
Well...let's back up. I'd never gotten into a Hostess Twinkie Truck with anyone...not ever. HA HA.
Hi Marliese.
ReplyDeleteYes indeedy. Charlie had plenty of time to get back to the ranch on August 8th to order the murders. ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I missed the program, but I will definitely be listening tomorrow.
Thanks to Cats and Brian Davis for a great program!
I'll be running a thread for the Garretson interview next week, as well.
This ROCKS!
I hope Cat's has several more kick-ass interviews lined-up!
Keep us posted Cats!
Yes, Thanks to Cats & Brian ...and Stephanie! Great show.
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to locate the You Tube video for this interview on Cat's site. Is it there??
ReplyDeleteI was able to listen to this interview a second time at this link;
ReplyDeletehttp://truthontatelabianca.com/topic/4518-10092011-special-guest-stephanie-schram/
Hope it works for you.

Your link saves a step...
Of course... if you wanted to listen to older episodes as well... the other link, probably would have been more helpful. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's the old "chicken or the egg" situation, I guess.
Tom's link is more direct for the Shcram interview specifically...
Sorry guys, I haven't had time to post for a while. I'm working on a REALLY good thread. I think you're all gonna "dig it". HA HA.

katie i'm pretty sure thats what she said.
ReplyDeleteshe knows the difference between clem and watkins so what made her think that watkins and posten wanted to kill them?
if you watch the manson gang dvd theres paul watkins hanging out with the family(and clem) after the murders.
maybe in his book and testimony pw makes himself out to be more anti manson than he really was to make himself look like one of the good guys.
or maybe stephanie misspoke.
i'll have to get out the watkins book again but i'll bet you if its mentioned in there watkins will say he helped them escape.

ReplyDeleteBut I'd really like to get into that.

ReplyDeleteSBuch, those are great questions.
